Hollywood Star Taye Diggs to Headline Inaugural Edition in Agra, India, January 29-31, 2027
MicroDramaFest today announced the official launch of the 9:16 Drama International Film Festival & Awards, the world’s first global platform dedicated exclusively to celebrating excellence in vertical storytelling and the rapidly expanding micro-drama entertainment industry.
The inaugural three-day festival will be held from January 29 to 31, 2027, at the legendary Taj Agra Hotel, a 5-star palace hotel, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Taj Mahal – one of the Seven Wonders of the World and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For three unforgettable days, the City of Love will become the global capital for the future of digital entertainment and creative collaboration.
Hollywood Headliner: Taye Diggs Brings Microhouse Films to India
Headlining the inaugural edition is acclaimed Hollywood actor and producer Taye Diggs. Diggs will attend the festival as a headline celebrity guest, where he will showcase Microhouse Films – the mobile-first storytelling platform he leads with Troy Brookins – and its innovative approach to the vertical entertainment revolution captivating audiences worldwide.
Diggs and Brookins will be joined by the most recognizable faces from the Hollywood vertical ecosystem, including Cayman Cardiff, Eric Guilmette, Jeff Violette, TJ Wilk, Luke Charles Stafford, Steven Morana, Tess Dinerstein, and Rebecca Berg, among many other celebrated talents.
In total, the festival will bring together 50+ international micro-drama stars with a collective reach of over 60 million followers worldwide. The lineup includes stars whose cultural impact is undeniable, including TJ Wilk, whose work alone has garnered over 1.6 billion views globally, creating unprecedented opportunities for fan engagement, brand collaboration, and international crossover between Hollywood and Bollywood.
