India offers the Xiaomi Mi A2 at a significant discount.

Xiaomi, a Chinese smartphone manufacturer, reduced the price of its Mi A2 device by up to ₹4,500 today. Amazon India, mi.com, and physical outlets like Mi Home stores are all participating in Xiaomi’s exclusive sale of the Mi A2.

Xiaomi announced this on Twitter. Four more announcements are reportedly planned during the next few hours.

The base Mi A2 model with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM costs ₹13,999, while the 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM model costs ₹15,999. The two versions were initially priced at ₹17,499 and ₹20,500, respectively.

The Mi A2, the second Android One smartphone from the Chinese manufacturer, was released last summer. It is slightly better than the Mi A1, which was released in 2017, although it does not have a 3.5mm headphone jack.

A 5.99-inch full HD+ display with a resolution of 2160×1080 is a feature of the Mi A2. A Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC and Adreno 512 GPU power the phone. Both 4GB and 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of internal storage are available for the Mi A2.

The Mi A2’s dual camera setup on the back includes a 20MP Sony IMX 376 sensor and a 12MP Sony IMX 486 sensor for taking pictures. Its 20MP selfie camera with light on the front may provide depth-of-field effects similar to those of a DSLR.

Instead of using the MIUI ROM found in previous Xiaomi phones, the Mi A2s run on the Android One platform, which is based on Android Oreo. The Xiaomi Mi A2 is on Google’s priority phone list for the most recent security patches and upgrades since it is an Android One handset. Therefore, once Google releases an Android Pie update for other phones, the Mi A2 will be eligible for it as well.
