In the clip, Shehnaaz is seen responding to a woman who approaches her with a proposal to be the face of her haircare brand. However, her reaction didn’t sit well with netizens, who accused her of displaying arrogance.
In the video, the woman enthusiastically asks Shehnaaz if she would endorse her brand, to which the actress swiftly responds, “Aap ke paise hai mujhe dene ke liye? Do you have money?” The entrepreneur, seemingly unfazed, playfully says she can pay her right away. Shehnaaz, however, quips, “You can’t afford me,” before directing the woman to speak to her manager, adding, “Vo raha mera manager, you can talk to him.”
While the entrepreneur took it in stride and engaged in friendly banter, social media users were far from amused. Many criticized Shehnaaz for what they perceived as an elitist attitude, stating that her tone came off as dismissive and rude. One user commented, “YOU CAN’T AFFORD ME? Who even is she? What has she done to have this much arrogance?” Another remarked, “Even if it was a joke, it was unnecessary.” Some went as far as calling her “ghamandi aurat” (arrogant woman), questioning her behavior towards someone who approached her respectfully.
